Sophora tetraptera

Commonly known as the 'Large Leaved Kowhai', this is a New Zealand native easily identified by the masses of golden yellow drooping flowers in Spring. Will begin flowering when a few years old, attracting birds and bees. Spaced out leaflets grow in pairs along the leaf stem.
