Dietes iridioides

The 'Fortnight Lily' has extraordinary flowers, with white outer petals adorned with a blemish of yellow, and three violet petals curling out from the centre. These last just one day, in a constant cycle as the stalks continuously produce buds. The foliage is quite the contrast, with leathery sword shaped leaves, making a strong fan with a soft touch.
